What Domestic Freight With Vividfforge Looks Like

Our domestic freight service operates across three shipment modes: less-than-truckload (LTL) consolidation running Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Calgary; full-truckload (FTL) for loads above 10 pallets or 5,000 kg; and expedited dedicated transport for time-critical cargo with 12–72-hour delivery windows. Every shipment is assigned a tracking number at pickup and updates in our client portal throughout transit. Rate cards are issued at quote stage and do not change at invoicing — fuel surcharge indexing is disclosed upfront using the Canadian Trucking Alliance benchmark, recalculated weekly. Our network includes partnerships with regional carriers in Atlantic Canada and Northern Ontario so that your freight does not stop at the edges of our own fleet.

How Domestic Freight Works: Three Steps

A straightforward process designed to reduce administrative burden on your team.

Quote and Book

Submit a load inquiry through the client portal or by phone. You receive a binding rate within two business hours, covering origin pickup, transit, and delivery — fuel surcharge included. No callbacks required for standard lanes.

Pickup and Tracking

Our driver or partner carrier collects freight at your dock within the agreed pickup window. The tracking link is emailed to your nominated contact at departure, with automatic status updates at each transit hub and estimated delivery recalculated in real time.

Delivery and Invoice

Proof of delivery — including driver signature or photo confirmation for unmanned receiving — is uploaded to your portal within 30 minutes of completion. Your invoice reflects the quoted rate; any weight or dimension discrepancy is flagged before invoicing, not after.

Service Limits You Should Know

Vividfforge's domestic network does not currently include scheduled service to Nunavut or the Northwest Territories; shipments to those regions require a custom charter quotation. Hazardous materials (WHMIS Class 1–6) require pre-approval and additional documentation lead time of three business days. For residential LTL delivery, liftgate service is available at Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal terminals; other locations may require a threshold delivery arrangement. We are direct about these parameters so that your logistics planning does not encounter surprises at execution. If your freight falls outside standard parameters, contact our team for a custom assessment — we will tell you honestly what we can and cannot commit to.

“Vividfforge handles our weekly replenishment run from Calgary to our six BC retail locations. The bound rate card with the CTA fuel index means our finance team stopped spending hours reconciling surprise surcharges. Nineteen consecutive on-time weeks as of April 2024.”
